A lot of people say this every time that DA makes some changes.

Really.. you'll get used to it. What's so bad about it? It's certainly shocking, but I think the biggest thing is that you're not used to it.

I think people put too much stress on this site sometimes. It's just a place to put your gallery, and look at other peoples' galleries. And it succeeds in that just as well as it ever has.

Not trying to rag on you, but I just find it silly that this always happens when new layouts are launched.

well, I have been thinking for months that it's time to dump this place and go someplace else. :/ now seems like the perfect time to do so. I hate surprise changes like this, be it on this site or anywhere else. I adjust to things easily in real life, but online is different. XD so I'll probably just stick to posting art to lj or my own personal site.

just like you are allowed to call people babies for hating the new look, I am allowed to hate the new look without being called a baby.

The minute i saw the new layout, i was like "oh shit, i think DA just went even more speed-intensive on internet connections" because of the 2-pic-per-page previewing system.

Not that it affected my usual sloth in uploading.

Because getting rid of art thieves totally has one easy and permanent solution. It's a big site, and there are a lot of people who steal art. There are also, probably, a number of people who randomly accuse people of stealing art, or who don't actually have any solid proof otherwise. It would be impossible for the staff alone to monitor all art that's posted completely, and much less know all art that's been posted by any user at any time, to catch them for art theft.

Art theft is only a serious situation when someone's profiting off of their ill gotten art.

And what's wrong with the category upload? It's all a matter of opinion, but something can't be "fixed" unless it's broken.
